T.R.O.G. 2022

We had two hours left of our six-and-a-half-hour drive when we heard the news. T.R.O.G. was cancelled. Hurricane Ian was on the move and the wind was wreaking havoc. The city of Wildwood made the decision to cancel all outdoor activities until the storm subsided.

After the news of the cancellation, the bands that were scheduled to play the Night of the Troglodytes (N.O.T.T.) on Friday and The Race of Gentlemen’s (T.R.O.G.) Saturday night bonfire were relocated to The Cove bar.

 The Night of the Troglodytes show, a chopper shows with pre-1976 bikes, bands, and a whole ton of partying had already posted online that the show had been moved. The cancellation and storm didn’t seem to faze anyone.

 This was a milestone year, although it didn’t go as planned, it was still a killer trip. Races or no races, Wildwood knows how to party!
